And you don't?...
Was I placing blame on him? Was I saying that in a negative light? Did I ever say that I didnt take a lot of time?
No.
I was simply stating my opinion.
I've played 5 minute chess with a timer. I don't like it as much as "regular" chess. Generally, chess games usually take 30-45 minutes.
The one day chess tournaments where the grandmaster plays against 40 players at the same time are interesting. They go from game to game making their moves and you have to make your move before they get back. They call it simultaneous chess.
On average, between 20-40 players participate. Other than being the first one out, no matter how you do, you can feel pretty good about it.

Well well, a conundrum.
I would love to play chess with Shatzy, now that I know she would actually care. I stopped playing chess competively when I realized there was always going to be someone else out there who actually memorized all the different openings and defenses, and any move you made was "classified" into such an opening.
Taking the game of chess and turning it into a math equation with pre-made "solutions" to any move you could make is demoralizing.
I think chess is the all time flirt device for members of the opposite sex (or the same sex if so inclined), but girls are too stupid to realize this.
Perhaps if chess game manufacturers put the heads of soap opera stars on the pieces, or glittered up the pieces, more girls would play.
